What is ¿What If?

A one-day festival where artists, musicians, dancers, makers, burners, performers, and community builders don't just share a venue — they create something together. It's also a fundraiser, and the beginning of a movement: money raised funds future community-centered projects rooted in Radical Inclusion, creativity, and genuine human connection, throughout Boston and beyond.

This isn't a festival where you simply watch. It's one you help build.

What happens during the day?

  • A Makers' Alley of local artists and vendors.
  • Communal art installations and collaborative craft projects that grow all day.
  • Live musicians, DJs, and an open jam — dancers inspiring musicians, flow artists riding live sound.
  • An ecstatic dance experience, ideally backed by an open jam band. Bring an instrument and join.
  • Tarot readings, immersive interactive art, storytellers.
  • The T-Station Tea Lounge, for when you need to land for a minute.
  • Spontaneous moments of creativity around every corner — some of them yours.

Is this a Burning Man event?

It's inspired by one — T-Station, a Boston-based Burning Man camp, and its ever-expanding Rainbow Line. It lands right after Burn season, and burner culture (radical inclusion, participation, leave no trace) is the operating system. But this day is for all of Boston's creative communities: if you've never touched playa dust, you're exactly who we hope shows up.

Where does the money go?

The venue is donated free of charge, so more of every dollar goes directly back into the community. Ticket sales, bar, raffle, and donations fund future art installations, collaborative events, music projects, workshops, and community gatherings — the kinds of collisions where new friendships, new camps, new bands, and entirely new communities are born. Boston doesn't need more isolated communities. Boston needs more intersections.

Where & when is it?

Saturday, October 3, 2026, One day, noon — late. Donated venue — location revealed to ticket holders — it holds 400 of us, it's fully permitted (including the bar), and the address goes out by email to ticket holders before doors. Accessible by the T (obviously) + rideshare; details in the reveal email.

Tickets

  • $30 — capped at 400 people. When it's gone, it's gone.
  • Your QR ticket arrives by email right after purchase. It gets scanned at the door — screenshots are fine.
  • Name-matched tickets: bring an ID that matches the attendee name (or the confirmation email).
  • No refunds (it's a fundraiser!); tickets are transferable — email [email protected] to change the name.

What to bring

  • Your ticket QR + a matching ID (21+, no exceptions).
  • An instrument, a craft, a costume, a story — whatever you make things with.
  • A water bottle. Hydration is a love language.
  • Cash/card for the bar, the makers, and the raffle — it all feeds the mission.
  • Curiosity. Strangers here are collaborators you haven't met yet.

Do I have to perform or make something?

No — but you won't just be watching, either. Contribute a brushstroke to a communal canvas, join a jam for one song, say yes to a dance. The goal is cross-pollination: come as a curious human, leave as part of something.

Consent & community care

Ask first — for photos, for dances, for hugs. Rangers will be identifiable and available all day. If something feels off, find one. Zero tolerance for harassment; we will remove people without refund. Everyone deserves to feel seen, welcomed, and safe here.

Accessibility

Radical Inclusion means the day only works if everyone can be part of it. We're working with the venue on accessibility and chill-out spaces. Questions or needs? Write us: [email protected].
